Statement

Inspiration lies within walls and wounds.

Fascination abounds in nature's power to cause healing and decay.

With my work I strive to create the complexity and decrepit beauty that can be found in a scar, or scrawled graffiti, or a rusted pipe.

I utilize thoughts piled on top of thoughts, memories upon memories, marks and erasures.

The effortless beauty caused by destruction and abandon wax ironic; for with this comes a sense of history and experience, a snapshot of something that is impermanent and constantly evolving, both blasphemous and innocent.

Poetry is nestled within the cracks, smudges, and abrasions.
