Fred Fleisher b. 1966

Biography

After serving in the Army, Fred Fleisher learned two valuable lessons, life is too short to be "practical" and trust your instincts. This led him to follow his passion by pursuing a BS and BFA in Painting from Penn State University and MFA in Painting from Queens College, CUNY.

Fleisher carries this regard for intuition into his creative process, allowing the subconscious to seep into his work whenever possible. Similarly, his work cuts across boundaries, employing painting, drawing, sculptural, and multi-media installation techniques in order to convey his concepts.

Fleisher has exhibited extensively across the country and internationally, gaining representation by Concepto Hudson Gallery, New York and Rockelmann&, Berlin, Germany. He currently lives in New York City where he also serves as an Adjunct Professor at SUNY, College at Old Westbury and Hudson County Community College.
